Module 1
In this module, we will explore the world of collaboration, innovative approaches and the challenges of blending of capital to get projects funded and impact charted and achieved. This is a world where the most unlikely partnerships form between families, DFIs, governments, banks, endowments, faith-based organisations, to enable solutions to be funded and take hold. We will carefully consider different approaches, real-world cases, the role of different stakeholders, the risks and the successes.

Module 2
In this module, we will consider the power that we have as investors: to create a positive impact on multiple levels. We will explore where is our ability to create depth, scale and scope within an investment; to address historical injustices, and to factor in recurring issues around power, justice and equity all while holding onto the requirements for financial returns and managing risk appetites. We will look at the use of a “lens” and social metrics in investing, and how we can responsibly manage for impact while avoiding the perpetuation of historic inequalities and causing further harm to vulnerable populations and environments.

Module 3
In this final module, we look to create a learning organisation with impact at its heart while avoiding harm and obsolescence. Impact is dynamic and constantly changing with new best practices continuously being created. How will you ensure that you do not instantly fall into the trap of becoming outdated? We will consider the role of MEL (Monitoring, Evaluating and Learning) as an organisational best practice. We will also consider how and when to course correct or what can be done if radical action is immediately needed to avoid the harmful unintended outcomes. We will look at case studies to see what other organisations have encountered and how they dealt with the issues and ultimately saved the day.
