Brunno Maradei, CFA, is global head of responsible investment. Prior to joining the firm, he was a senior investment officer at the European Investment Bank (EIB), working on structured and project finance transactions outside the EU and representing the EIB in the investment committee of three impact funds. He was also a senior manager at EIRIS, a leading ESG research house in London, and spent eight years in the World Bank Group in Washington, where he developed sustainable investment products for emerging markets and structured blended finance for renewable energy deals in Africa. He spent two years advising the European Commission on blended finance for development impact. He started his career in Morgan Stanley’s risk management practice in London and subsequently moved to JP Morgan. Brunno has been in the industry since 1997 and joined the firm in 2019. He holds a BSc in economics from London School of Economics, an MBA from London Business School and is a CFA® charterholder. He sits on the Consultative Working Group of ESMA’s Coordination Network on Sustainability.

Roger Havenith is Deputy Chief Executive of the EIF since 1 January 2016.In his role, Roger is part of the Fund’s governance providing leadership and direction to the institution.
He deputises for the CE in the day-to-day management of the Fund, has specific responsibilities for supervising the risk management, compliance, financial control and middle/back-office services and acts as main senior counterpart for the EU institutions.
Previously, he had several key roles at the EC: among others, he was a Commission negotiator in charge of the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) SME Window, as part of the Investment Plan for Europe. He also led the EC’s Designated Service responsible for the negotiation, implementation and oversight of financial instruments under CIP, EPMF, MAP and other initiatives.
He has a B.A. in Business Administration from HEC St. Louis in Brussels (Belgium) and LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Vrije Universiteit Brussel; He also earned a postgraduate degree in European Studies from Institut d’Etudes européennes de l’Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and M.A. as conference interpreter from Institut supérieur de Traducteurs et Interprètes/ULB

Declan O'Brien

Declan was formerly Head of Infrastructure Research and Strategy (2017-2023) for UBS across equity and debt, responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative analysis of infrastructure investment markets and a voting member on the investment committee across strategies. Prior to this, Declan was responsible for Legal & General Investment Management’s research and strategy in the infrastructure sector. His previous roles were with Moody's Investors Services in London and Madrid (2009-2015), where he covered credits across the energy, transportation and telecommunications sectors; and at KBC Bank N.V. in Dublin and Sydney (2004-2008), where he structured and originated project finance transactions with a strong focus on the energy transition. Declan is a member of the ACCA and holds a CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.

Piet Klop has been developing PGGM’s portfolio of “investing in solutions” to the Sustainable Development Goals, including impact measurement. He also leads PGGM’s engagement efforts around water risk.
Before joining PGGM Investments in July 2011, Piet was at the World Resources Institute in Washington DC and held senior positions at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the private sector. As a water resources expert, he worked at the World Bank and United Nations. Piet holds master’s degrees in Water Resources Management (Wageningen University, 1989) and Applied Environmental Economics (University of London, 1999).

Annie Thériault, Managing Partner at CBIV, has been immersed in impact investing, venture capital, royalty financing, and capital markets throughout her career. As a venture capital investor and venture advisor, she worked with high-impact companies to mobilize more than $100 million in non-dilutive capital. Annie was previously a director on the boards of several North American venture-backed companies, is an advisor to crowdfunding fintech company FrontFundr, and, prior to the launch of CBIV, was Chief Investment Officer at Grand Challenges Canada. Alongside her role at Morningstar Sustainalytics, Catalina serves on the Board of UKSIF, the leading network organisation for sustainable finance and investment in the UK.
Catalina has been an active member of several responsible investment steering committees in Australia and the UK. She is a co-founder of the Sustainable Finance Group, a peer support network for individuals working in responsible investment in the UK, as well as the “Women in Sustainable Finance” network, based in Sydney.

Chantal Hermans currently is the COO of Phenix Capital Group, after running the events, marcomm & publications department for two years. Chantal started her career at Management Events, working with C-level executives across industries. In 2014 she moved to London and started working for financial publisher Euromoney Institutional Investors as an investor relations manager. Here she was responsible for building relationships with the key financial players in the Benelux, UK and Eastern Europe. Next to her IR role, she was also responsible for building the European network for the II conferences. In 2018, Chantal joined EQDerivatives as Executive Director of machineByte. Christian Rosenholm serves as Director of Institutional Engagement at the GIIN (Global Impact Investing Network). In this role Christian focus on furthering relationships with institutional asset owners to develop ways to systematically integrate impact within investment strategies and to help identify opportunities to advance impact investing within the institutional asset owner community. Prior to joining the GIIN, Christian Rosenholm was the senior advisor at the Danish Sovereign Wealth fund, EIFO, where he developed a new ESG and Impact management system, shaped sustainability policies and strategy. Before this Christian Rosenholm was as a senior professional at IFC (International finance Corporation), where he was the focal point in developing IFC’s impact assessment approach for Private Equity fund investments, supervised the global impact evaluation program and was one of the original key architects in the development and launch of the Operating Principles for Impact Management.

Pierre also sits on the Group’s Private Equity Investment Committee and has played a pivotal role in the launch of the private equity business’ subsequent climate strategies, including the launch of Tikehau Green Assets and Tikehau Regenerative Agriculture fund, that was launched in 2022 in partnership with AXA and Unilever. These private equity climate strategies are representing 2,4 billion euro of asset under management as of June 2023.
In his capacity as Group Climate Director, Pierre now spearheads Tikehau Capital’s impact investment platform that is constituted by more than 30 investments professionals in 7 countries and more than €3.5 billion of Asset Under Management. The Group’s impact platform focuses on climate and biodiversity- dedicated strategies that address the climate emergency and spans across all Tikehau Capital’s asset classes within private and public markets. Pierre is a member of the Tikehau Impact Committee which ensures that the investments made by any of the Group’s impact fund are aligned with their respective purpose.

She is a world-renowned futurist, active environmentalist, syndicated columnist, and author of award-winning Ethical Markets: Growing the Green Economy (2006); Mapping the Global Transition to the Solar Age (2014), and other books in 800 libraries, in 20 languages, including “Planetary Citizenship “co-authored by Buddhist leader Daisaku Ikeda. Ethical Markets is the publisher of Henderson’s forthcoming textbook, “Mapping the Global Green Transition: 2009-2020“.
She is the producer of the global TV series “Transforming Finance“ and the Ethical Markets TV series. She created in 2004 the EthicMark® Awards for Communications Uplifting the Human Spirit & Society, showcasing positive messages to raise the ethical bar on global advertising and in 2009 the annual Green Transition Scoreboard®.
She launched the EthicMarkGEMS®.com, the first global standard certifying only gems NOT mined from Mother Earth, to phase out unnecessary global gem mining, now chemically- identical gems are cheaply available worldwide and also co-created Ethical Biomimicry Finance®. Henderson served as a cabinet-level science policy advisor to the US Office of Technology Assessment, the National Science Foundation, and the National Academy of Engineering.
Her over 400 articles appear in Harvard Business Review, New York Times, LeMonde Diplomatique, and journals in Japan, Britain, Venezuela, China, France, Australia. Honorary Member of the Club of Rome, Fellow of Britain’s Royal Society for Arts and of The World Academy of Art & Science, Henderson shared the 1996 Global Citizen Award with Argentinian Nobelist Pérez Esquivel. Seasoned all-around executive who is widely recognised as an authority on pensions. He has spent most of his career in the world of social partners where he is seen as influential. Over the years he has gained extensive knowledge of all aspects of running a pension fund. In his last role Peter was responsible for running PFZW, the second-largest pension fund in the Netherlands (2.9 million members and EUR 240 billion AUM) whose pension fund administration and asset management are outsourced to PGGM.

As Managing Director Global Responsible Investment & Governance Claudia Kruse is part of the management team of the investment function reporting into the Chief Investment Officer/ Board. Her seventeen people strong team implements the responsible investment policy on behalf of APG and its clients across all asset classes. The focus is on active ownership, ESG integration tailored to the specific investment strategies and investing in solutions that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. Before joining APG in 2009, she worked on the buy and sell-side in London for almost a decade. She was appointed to the German Corporate Governance Code Commission in 2016, and in 2017 was member of the EU Expert Group on Sustainable Finance whose recommendations inspired the EU Action Plan on Sustainable Finance. She is on the Board of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN). In 2016 she was voted CIO Europe’s Next Generation CIO Award winner. Claudia is co-chair of the PRI SDG Advisory Committee. Claudia studied International Management & Chinese, and has an MSc Tourism & Development (UCL, London). Elsa Palanza is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Sustainability & ESG for Barclays. In this role, Elsa leads the strategic direction and execution of the bank’s policies and practices across a broad range of sustainability and ESG matters, including climate change, environmental stewardship, human rights, and social impact. She manages ESG assessment and approach for the firm, strengthening client and investor engagement, and ensuring diverse stakeholder perspectives are integrated into decision-making. In addition, Elsa oversees the development of appropriate and ambitious standards and metrics to advance green and sustainable finance and steward early innovation in sustainable product and service development.
Elsa assumed this role with over 20 years of experience as a strategic advisor for corporations, foundations, and non-profits. Most recently, she was enlisted by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to create and launch a platform to advance progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. For many years, Elsa served as Director of Commitments for the Clinton Global Initiative, a role that afforded her comprehensive insight into best practices in sustainability, cross-sector partnership development, and corporate responsibility. Previously, she worked in Washington, D.C., delivering geopolitical and industry risk analysis to large international energy companies, and in Istanbul, Turkey, leading strategy and business operations for an education company.

Ross Piper is the Chief Executive Officer of Christian Super. He has over 25 years of leadership and management experience in corporate and non-profit contexts. Prior to Ross’ appointment as Christian Super CEO in January 2018, he was Chief Operating Officer with World Vision Australia and also served with World Vision International for several years in the Middle East and various countries of the former Yugoslavia. During his career Ross has held a number of positions in the corporate sector, primarily in investment banking and mining. Fabienne Michaux is the Director of SDG Impact, a UNDP Sustainable Finance Hub flagship initiative, joining in 2019. Fabienne is the lead developer of the SDG Impact Standards, the first and only independent management standards in the market that places sustainability at the core of operations. She is a Working Group Member of the G7 Impact Taskforce, the co-chair of the Australian Advisory Board on Impact Investing and recently co-chaired the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative’s working group on making better decisions.
She previously enjoyed a 30-year executive career, including 22 years with S&P Global Ratings where in her final role she was the Australian Country Head and Head of Developed Markets Asia-Pacific.
