Aaron Vermeulen is WWF’s Finance Practice Leader responsible for the organisation’s global sustainable finance work. Prior to this, he was the head of Green Finance at WWF Netherlands and a founder of the Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD). Aaron also worked for five years as the WWF partnership manager at the headquarters of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila. Before joining WWF, he held several positions, including as director of the Water and Ecology business group for Royal Haskoning DHV consultancy in Amsterdam, and as an associate expert for the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo.

The organisation has created more than 400 jobs, trained over 600 women in health and social care, and delivered over one million hours of essential care. The organisation achieves 92% workforce retention in a sector where the industry average is 27%, demonstrating how investing properly in people through support, flexibility, and progression directly improves service quality, stability, and cost efficiency in essential services. Prior to the Foundation, Anita worked for banks and insurers as an asset manager and an impact investor. Throughout her career, she has been a driving force behind initiatives aimed at addressing climate change that lead to commitments and collaboration within the finance sector. Anita started her career in public policy and green politics, working in both the European Parliament and the Dutch Parliament.

He works closely with social entrepreneurs develop impact investment pipeline. The Philips Foundation has the mission to reduce inequality in access to healthcare for underserved communities through meaningful innovation. Prior to this role, Bahaa Eddine served as Senior Advisor in Innovation & Technology to the UN system. He also built and headed the Philips Africa Innovation Hub, based in Nairobi. Bahaa Eddine developed several innovations to enable access to primary care in remote areas. He is an active promotor of innovation for the underserved, supported by his roles and memberships in leading industrial institutions. His multidisciplinary skills allow him to work with different competencies and co-create in a diversified ecosystem. He holds a PhD in Technology from Eindhoven University of Technology.

Emre has served as an M&A advisor at Dexia in Istanbul, as a fund of funds investor at the European Investment Bank, and as a board consultant to the investment committee of Microfinance Enhancement Facility through Innpact, a Luxembourg-based consulting firm. Prior to joining BII in 2021, Jesse was an Associate Partner at Dalberg Global Development Advisors, where he was a member of the firm’s Development Finance practice and supported a range of DFIs, governments, and donor agencies on blended finance fund design, agricultural development, and SME finance initiatives across Africa. Previously, Peter chaired the Owners Association of the residential complex Bastion le Roi from 2014 to 2018. Prior to Impact Frontiers, Matt was Head of Impact at The Good Economy, where he led a team supporting alternative asset managers to strengthen their impact management practices. He established The Good Economy’s impact verification and assurance service as well as advising on the fast-moving landscape for sustainability regulations and impact management norms.From 2016-2019 Matt was evaluation lead for the UK government’s flagship initiative to develop the impact investing ecosystem in the Global South. As part of this role he innovated stakeholder-centric approaches to impact measurement for UK’s development finance institution and supported the establishment of Impact Management Project.Matt spent over a decade at the United Nations working on labour rights and employment impact assessments. Before that, Ms. Bhatia served since 2014 as the Director for Development Partner Relations at the World Bank Group. Previously, she held the position of Director of Partnerships and Advisory Services Operations (2011–2014) and Global Head of Knowledge at the International Finance Corporation (2010-2011).
Ms. Bhatia also served as Head of IFC’s Latin America Advisory Operations. In addition to Latin America, she has worked in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and South and East Asia. Ms. Anita Bhatia brings extensive experience in the area of strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, and management. During her time at the IFC, she developed and expanded innovative partnerships with public and private sector partners to support its strategy in key areas, including fragile and conflict-affected states, gender equality, financial inclusion, support to women-owned businesses, and other priorities critical for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Dr Scilla Elworthy turns vision into action. Today her full attention is on developing Business Plan for Peace, resulting from her 2017 book: The Business Plan for Peace: Building a World Without War. She has been three times nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for developing effective dialogue between nuclear weapons policymakers worldwide and their critics, with the Oxford Research Group she founded in 1982. Peace Direct, voted ‘Best New Charity’ in 2005, goes from strength to strength under brilliant young leadership, founded by Scilla in 2002 to fund, promote and learn from local peace-builders in conflict areas. Scilla was adviser to Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Sir Richard Branson in setting up ‘The Elders’, and was Awarded the Niwano Peace Prize in 2003. She co-founded Rising Women Rising World in 2013, and FemmeQ in 2016 to establish the qualities of feminine intelligence - for men as for women - as essential for building a safer world. Since 2006, Eva Halvarsson has acted as the CEO of the Second Swedish National Pension Fund -- AP2. She heads up an organization with more than SEK 345 billion (approx. USD 43 billion) under management in virtually every asset class, and one that is active in all parts of the world; AP2 is one of northern Europe's largest pension funds.Ms. Halvarsson began her career as an accountant, progressing to the point that before joining AP2, she spent ten years working for the Swedish Government where she was responsible for the governance and management of the large and extensive portfolio of state owned companies. Eva Halvarsson has had a distinguished and varied leadership career. She took part in the working group that put into effect the Swedish Corporate Governance Code in 2004. She also spent several years, serving on the Swedish Corporate Governance Board. Eva has been a board member of several large companies and has chaired the nomination committees of some of Sweden’s largest listed companies. She recently left after serving for ten years as the Deputy Chairperson of the board of the University of Gothenburg.Presently, she is board member of the UN-PRI (the United Nation´s Principles for Responsible Investments), Vasakronan (the largest real estate company in Sweden), The Gothenburg Award for Sustainable Development and The Royal Swedish Opera. At Monitor he was part of the team that produced the Investing for Social & Environmental Impact report, and he left Monitor to co-found the GIIN in 2009.Amit's other projects at the Monitor Institute included strategic planning and organizational development work for nonprofit organizations and foundations. Amit previously worked in the private sector as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company. He left Bain to work in global health at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Mr. Guazo is Director of the Finance Division and Deputy Controller in the Office of Programme Planning, Finance and Budget of the United Nations Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance in New York, since 2012. He served in a similar capacity as the Director of Finance and Treasury at the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome (2010-2012).With over 10 years of experience in high level management positions in the United Nations system, together with more than 17 years of experience in the private and public sectors, Mr. Guazo brings a balance of deep knowledge of the United Nations system and expertise in national, regional and global practices for financial and pension fund systems.During a 15-year banking career, he contributed to the modernization of the Mexican Financial System, while serving as its regulator and supervisor. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer at the Federal Mortgage Bank of Mexico (2008-2010), he negotiated and managed loans from the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.
