Piet Klop has been developing PGGM’s portfolio of “investing in solutions” to the Sustainable Development Goals, including impact measurement. He also leads PGGM’s engagement efforts around water risk.
Before joining PGGM Investments in July 2011, Piet was at the World Resources Institute in Washington DC and held senior positions at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the private sector. As a water resources expert, he worked at the World Bank and United Nations. Piet holds master’s degrees in Water Resources Management (Wageningen University, 1989) and Applied Environmental Economics (University of London, 1999).

Joanne Kellermann is the Chair of PFZW, the pension fund for the Care and Welfare sector and the 2nd largest pension fund in The Netherlands. Before that, she was a Board Member of the Single Resolution Board (SRB) in Brussels, since its inception in 2015. From 2007 until 2014 she was an executive member of the Governing Board of the Netherlands Central Bank (DNB), responsible for supervision. She was actively involved in all major crisis interventions in the Netherlands’ financial sector and after the crisis lead the development of supervising culture and behaviour in firms. She started her career as a lawyer in the law firm NautaDutilh and was a partner in the finance practice in Amsterdam and London between 1992 and 2005. She currently also chairs the board of supervisory directors of NWB Bank NV, the board of the University of Utrecht and Aflatoun International, an NGO that empowers 10 million children annually worldwide through social and financial education.

Ricardo Borges de Castro is Associate Director and Head of Europe in the World Programme at the European Policy Centre, an independent, not-for-profit, Brussels-based think tank.
With expertise in strategic foresight, planning and policymaking at national and European levels, Ricardo’s research interests focus mainly on geopolitics, the EU’s international role and the future of Europe, democratisation, transatlantic relations, global trends, and scenario building. He is also the editor of a new flagship publication: the yearly ‘EPC Outlook Paper.’
Besides his analytical work, Ricardo is also a regular commentator and contributor on global and European affairs in several media outlets including BBC World News, France24, Euronews, YLE, L’Express, Euractiv, CNN Portugal, SIC Notícias, Público and Expresso.
Before joining the EPC, Ricardo was foresight lead at the European Political Strategy Centre (EPSC), the European Commission’s in-house think tank under President Jean-Claude Juncker. Previously, Ricardo was Member of Cabinet and Personal Assistant to José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, as well as spokesperson for ‘Europe and the World’ at the Commission’s Spokespersons’ Planning and Coordination Unit. In Portugal, Ricardo served in the Prime Minister’s Office as political adviser to the Prime Minister after spending four years in the Portuguese Parliament as policy advisor for foreign affairs, national defence and East Timor.
Ricardo is also an Associate Fellow, Global Fellowship Initiative, at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy and a Member of the OECD Government Foresight Community.
Ricardo holds a Master of Arts (MALD) from The Fletcher School and a DPhil (PhD) in International Relations from the University of Oxford (St Antony’s College).
Besides Portugal, he has lived in the US, UK, Turkey, and lately in Belgium.

Yvonne is part of the policy and strategy team that advises the board of directors of Pensioenfonds PGB. She is responsible for the policy and strategy advice related to sustainable investment.
With a versatile professional background, ranging from Philips, ACTIAM, Hivos, AVANS business school of applied sciences, IBERO university Mexico, and Pensioenfonds Rail & OV, in her career Yvonne has considered sustainability from different angles and in a variety of contexts/sectors; business, finance, NGO and higher education.
Her ambition is to lead Pensioenfonds PGB to a future-proof sustainable investment strategy mitigating the adverse impacts and maximizing the positive impacts on society while assuring sound pensions for its multi-sector beneficiaries and guaranteeing continuous engagement with and optimal transparency to its stakeholders.

Brunno Maradei

Brunno Maradei joined Aegon Asset Management in 2019. He is Global Head of Responsible Investment. Prior to joining the firm, Brunno was a senior investment officer at the European Investment Bank (EIB), working on structured and project finance transactions outside the EU and representing EIB in the investment committee of three impact funds. Brunno started his career in Morgan Stanley’s risk management practice in London and subsequently moved to JPMorgan. Brunno was a senior manager at EIRIS, a leading ESG research house in London, and spent eight years in the World Bank Group in Washington, where he developed sustainable investment products for emerging markets and structured blended finance for renewable energy deals in Africa. He also spent two years advising the European Commission on blended finance for development impact. Brunno is a CFA charterholder, holds an MBA from London Business School and a BSc (Econ) from London School of Economics.
Annette has a background in banking and held various senior regional and global functions in customer, export & project financing at Deutsche Bank and Philips. Annette is a founding member of Philips Capital; after heading the global Financial Structuring and Sourcing team Annette was responsible for various Western European markets and Africa before moving into the impact finance space.
Currently, Annette is leading the impact finance activities within Philips, which allows her to combine her financial expertise and leadership skills with her drive and passion to contribute to the sustainable development goals. Engagements in her current role include the set-up and investments into “impact first” investment funds as well as business development to bring innovative healthcare solutions and delivery models to market. Shaping and closure of the Transform Health Fund for Africa is one of the recent successes.
Annette is also part of the Philips Foundation team, establishing and driving the impact finance activities. Prior to this Annette initiated and developed the Ashoka Partnership Program for the Philips Foundation; engaging with social entrepreneurs to jointly address key challenges related to the delivery of quality care in underserved communities.
Currently, Annette is leading the impact finance activities within Philips, which allows her to combine her financial expertise and leadership skills with her drive and passion to contribute to the sustainable development goals. James W. Hourdequin

James W. Hourdequin, CEO and Managing Director: Jim joined Lyme in 2005 and leads the Company’s investment and business strategies. Over the past 17 years, he has managed the acquisition of over 1.6 million acres of timberland throughout the US and Canada. Jim has expertise in structuring transactions that combine conservation outcomes with attractive income yields from sustainable timber harvesting. He has led Lyme’s focus on strategic supply chain investments, including sawmills, logging businesses, and log marketing operations. Prior to Lyme, Jim co-founded Long View Forest Inc., a logging and forestry services business based in Vermont, where he remains involved as an owner and member of the management team. He serves on the Board of the National Alliance of Forest Owners, the Finance Committee for the Montshire Museum of Science, and was a founding board member of the Center for Woodlands Education, publisher of Northern Woodlands. Jim earned an M.B.A. with Distinction from the Harvard Business School and a B.A. cum laude in Biology from Dartmouth College.
Vincent Triesschijn is Global Head ESG and Sustainable Investing at ABN AMRO, working on sustainability (ESG) integration (policies and guidelines), engagements and investment product and services development. Vincent works in the investment industry since 2006, previously at UBS, J.P. Morgan and Kempen & Co on (sustainable) equity and debt related mandates. He obtained his Master degree in Sustainability from the University of Cambridge and is author of 'Aligning Sustainability with Investment Objectives'. Next to his professional activities, Vincent is a coach for (social) start-up enterprises, Advisory Board Member for 'Bridges for Enterprise' (a society of the University of Cambridge) and ‘Net Impact’ (next-generation leaders in Amsterdam that focus to make a positive impact). Sustainable investing within ABN AMRO grew from €5bn in 2015 to €25bn in 2020 (impact investing from €100m to €1bn).
