Brunno Maradei, CFA, is global head of responsible investment. Prior to joining the firm, he was a senior investment officer at the European Investment Bank (EIB), working on structured and project finance transactions outside the EU and representing the EIB in the investment committee of three impact funds. He was also a senior manager at EIRIS, a leading ESG research house in London, and spent eight years in the World Bank Group in Washington, where he developed sustainable investment products for emerging markets and structured blended finance for renewable energy deals in Africa. He spent two years advising the European Commission on blended finance for development impact. He started his career in Morgan Stanley's risk management practice in London and subsequently moved to JP Morgan.

Christian is part of the IFC core taskforce developing the Operating Principles for Impact Management, drafting of the IFC flagship report 2019 on impact investing and representing IFC in impact working-groups within GIIN, WEF and IMP. At IFC Christian supervise the demand driven evaluation program across industries and geographies with around 20 evaluations completed every year. Christian has also been the focal point for IFC Private Equity Fund investments leading the operationalization of IFC’s new Impact management framework AIMM and impact assessment of Private Equity Fund investments.
