The Impact Seminar Series - Nordics is tailored to institutional investors and asset owners based in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. It consists of a one-day programme with keynote speeches, investor connect sessions, panel discussions and fireside chats, touching upon the challenges and opportunities within the impact investing universe.

Baillie Gifford
Apricot is a senior impact analyst and decision maker in the Positive Change Team. She joined Baillie Gifford in 2023 and is a CFA Charterholder and has an MBA from the China Europe International Business School in Shanghai. Apricot’s first degree was in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge. Prior to working at Baillie Gifford, Apricot completed the graduate training programme at Aberdeen Asset Management, before working for Investing for Development SICAV, a Luxembourg-based blended fund focused on development finance.
Having worked in development, Apricot has been impressed by the power of financial markets to generate positive societal change. She has a particular interest in opportunities which support those living at the base of the economic pyramid.

Brunno Maradei, CFA, is global head of responsible investment. Prior to joining the firm, he was a senior investment officer at the European Investment Bank (EIB), working on structured and project finance transactions outside the EU and representing the EIB in the investment committee of three impact funds. He was also a senior manager at EIRIS, a leading ESG research house in London, and spent eight years in the World Bank Group in Washington, where he developed sustainable investment products for emerging markets and structured blended finance for renewable energy deals in Africa. He spent two years advising the European Commission on blended finance for development impact. He started his career in Morgan Stanley’s risk management practice in London and subsequently moved to JP Morgan. Brunno has been in the industry since 1997 and joined the firm in 2019. He holds a BSc in economics from London School of Economics, an MBA from London Business School and is a CFA® charterholder. He sits on the Consultative Working Group of ESMA’s Coordination Network on Sustainability.

Diana Scalise is the Head of Investment at Plan International Denmark (PlanBørnefonden), an international NGO present in over 75 countries, that is now pioneering the social impact investment space, using innovative finance to de-risk gender lens investing in developing countries. Prior to that, Diana worked as Senior Product Developer at the Development Bank of Argentina where she led the program Women Leaders, aimed at closing the gender gap in accessing finance. Before devoting herself to the development space, she worked in the energy sector, structuring power purchase agreements in regulated markets. Born in Argentina, she graduated as an economist from the University of Buenos Aires and specialized in development finance in Denmark and Sweden.

Quinn Liu is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Danica Pension, where she manages global sustainable equities and leads ESG integration. Previously, she worked as a Senior ESG Analyst at Danske Bank, where she is responsible for ESG integration and engagement for international equities portfolios as well as Danica Pension’s investments. Prior to that, Quinn worked as an Investment Officer at the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS), where she specialized in low-carbon transition investment strategies. Quinn also worked at HSBC Global Asset Management in Hong Kong. Quinn holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University. She also holds dual Bachelor degrees in Finance and Arts as well as Master’s in Finance and Human Rights from Peking University.

Marcus Mølbak Ingholt is the Senior Lead Climate Economist of Danmarks Nationalbank. In this role, he coordinates the central bank’s climate- and energy-related analysis and data collection, responsible investment and climate-related disclosure. Marcus is also co-chair of the climate-related disclosure subgroup of the Network for Greening the Financial System. Marcus holds a PhD in macro-finance from the University of Copenhagen. In the past, he has worked as a Research Economist at Norges Bank and an Economist at the Danish Social Democratic Party.

Before joining Trill Impact, he was an Associate Partner specialising in Impact and ESG at Steward Requeen. He has further professional experience as Portfolio Director at Swedfund, Head of ESG and Fund Evaluations at the CDC Group plc, Senior Associate at McKinsey & Co., Senior Consultant at Hitachi/Celerant Consulting and as Consultant to the World Bank Group.

Raphaël joined Mirova in 2009 as Managing Director of the renewable energy funds (FIDEME, EF2, MEF3, MEF4). Raphaël started his career at Crédit Lyonnais in the Project and Asset Finance division before joining General Electric where he worked for 12 years. Raphael held several finance and M&A management positions in GE healthcare, GE Oil & Gas and GE Energy Financial Services. During the last 5 years, he was leading investments of GE EFS for South Europe. Raphael holds a master’s degree and a DESS in Finance from Paris IX Dauphine and the International Executive Program at INSEAD.

Further PAM is the management company of a UCITS fund listed on the OMX Copenhagen and other investment structures and manages approx. 90b EUR.

Suhyon Oh is a PhD Fellow at the Center for Business and Development Studies at Copenhagen Business School. Her research interests focus on the strategy and practice of development finance institutions to harmonize the dual goals of impact and profitability. Before pursuing her PhD, she worked as a development finance researcher at the Korea International Cooperation Agency, specializing in innovative financing mechanisms. Her extensive background also includes roles as a consultant at the United Nations Development Programme and at an international development think tank, where she committed to the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of development projects, particularly in the realm of private sector development. Prior to her transition to the development sector, Suhyon also worked in investment banking sector as a financial accounting specialist. She holds an MA in Globalisation and Development from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, UK, and is originally from South Korea.

Chantal started her career at Management Events, working with C-level executives across industries. In 2014 she moved to London and started working for financial publisher Euromoney Institutional Investors as an investor relations manager. Here she was responsible for building relationships with the key financial players in the Benelux, UK and Eastern Europe. Next to her IR role, she was also responsible for building the European network for the II conferences. In 2018, Chantal joined EQDerivatives as Executive Director of machineByte. A platform focused on delivering education around machine learning and AI in the investment industry. Her passion for sustainability and building a better world brought her to Phenix Capital Group, where she can fully focus on delivering education on impact investing and helping the industry move forward.
